Live status matters.

A certificate can change after issue. The verification record should be treated as the authoritative status at the time of checking.

Valid — active within the issue and expiry period.
Suspended — temporarily inactive while a matter is reviewed.
Expired — validity period ended without current renewal.
Revoked — withdrawn and no longer valid.
Always match the legal entity name and company number on the live record to the organisation presenting the certificate. BCB certification supports, but does not replace, your own due diligence.
